Thank you! I have a tendency to want to make things too cluttered. I tried to keep it clean.
I just made a post to say that I'd made this, and immediately noticed that you'd posted a link already! Thanks so much @k00b. I've deleted the other post now.
One of the first feed sources I wanted to include was the SN bitcoin category but I couldn't find a feed. There are some I'd like to swap out for other sources but I actually found a surprising lack of Bitcoin-only RSS feeds.
Love to hear this, thanks! I've done another game since (2048 Sats), and will be releasing another project later tonight (not a game)
I've updated this to v1.2
The main improvement is the ability to customize the gravity strength to how you prefer it. Also added 'performance mode' which disables/reduces a number of the effects
I've had one or two people report low frame rates on lower spec computers. I really wanted this game to be heavy on the particles but that's no fun if the frame rate suffers. So I've just updated to v1.1 which adds an optional 'performance mode' which can be selected on the title screen. This massively reduces the number of particles, disables nebula effects, etc.
ok, I've just added 'performance mode' to Hashteroids ๐ If you get the chance it would be great if you could see if that makes it playable? This new mode massively reduces the number of particles, removes the nebula effects, etc.
it would be really cool to award sats to everyone that wins. You do win the honour of being the first person to complete it though.
Awesome to hear you're still playing this! :)
I've just released my third game (#864854). Now I'm going to go back to both Hashteroids and ASIC Lander and see if I can give them both options to make them a bit less demanding for lower spec computers.
I've added an 'easy mode', which makes landing far more forgiving. I think it makes it too easy but people on Reddit have complained that it's too hard.
Difficulty / challenge was one of the hardest things to get 'right' (I don't claim to have actually got it right!). The game has no enemies, no increasing levels of difficulty, etc. so the only skill required is that of being able to fly and land the rocket. Personally I find it too easy, but I've been flying the rocket around for a while now during development and have got pretty adept at it.
