Binding Lights by The Weeknd is the most streamed song on Spotify with 4.568 billion streams.

But the most viewed song on YT is Despacito.

This means that music isn't same for everyone, not same for each human sensory organ too. It seems when only the ears are at work, they perceive music differently than when eyes can watch what we listen.

i can not choose cause there are too many after so many years of listening music... Moreover when i m listening a band i pick up an album and not a song, cause it s a whole, a story ,a trip .... I m listening diferent style of music and each style bring something diferent regarding the day, emotion, place, age, souvenir....

Is the Weeknd song, most played of all time? That seems crazy that it isn't an older song. I don't know how to answer this question since I have no way of knowing. I don't think I listen to music the way most do. I don't use spotify or anything like that. When I get exposed to a new album that I end up enjoying, its all I listen to for weeks until I know it well. If a band only has single songs I like, I don't bother. Then I have my collection of music where I revisit albums as I feel called to. Even though there is no algorithm, I still find that I am some how exposed to plenty of great music. Right now, this is what I am listening to the most.

You just needed to submit your most listened. Yes, the Binding Lights is the most listened on Spotify but I don't think it's the most listened of all time because there are still 70% (afaict) people who don't use streaming or YouTube to listen music. The most listened song imo is the 'Hanuman Chalisa' because it's played everyday by millions of people in India for it's a religious song. You can see the stats for this devotional song on youtube and be surprised. 4.1 Billion views for a devotional song!!
